The existing structure is stripped out and the new floor structure is fitted, and decked where possible before the existing roof is fitted.

All services are stripped out prior to the arrival of Sms Timber Frame for safety reasons.

Roof tiles were removed prior to the arrival of Sms Timber Frame.

Day 1- The new floor structure if fitted and decking is applied to as much of the floor as possible with the roof remaining in tact, all ceilings are saved.

With the new floor structure fitted where possible, the existing roof is stripped off completely. This allowed us to save the existing ceiling for the client.

Day 2- The roof is now stripped off progressively over the course of one morning to allow our team to completed the new floor structure.

The decking is completed and measure are taken to stop water ingress.

Day-2 The floor structure is completed and ready to accept temporary weather membrane.

Tarpaulin is laid and taped at the joints to ensure water does not get into the existing building.

Day 2- The weather membrane is applied to ensure water ingress is kept to a harmless minimum and save all ceilings.

The new timber frame structure is erected to create the new living space at first floor level.

Day 4- New structure is erected ready to accept pre-manufactured trusses.

Once the new timber frame structure is erected the roof structure begins to take shape.

Day 6- With the new first floor structure in place, the complex roof begins to take shape, and is completed in the following two days.

The final product met the clients criteria excellently converting a bungalow into a 2 storey 5 bedroom house.
