The floor structure is constructed using solid timber joists and is the decked with weather proof decking.

Pre engineered floor structure being fitted, we always over engineer floor joists to allow 50% of building regulations permitted deflection. "We don't like squeaky floors".

The timber floor structure is decked and all the joints are taped, this minimises damage to both the decking boards and the panels below.

Decking is fixed and bonded to floor joists using PU Decking glue which expands and flexes to avoid squeaks. As standard we use a weather protective moisture resistant flooring with a peel off film which makes for a clean finished floor when your plasterer and decorator has finished.

The first floor timber frame structure is constructed directly on top of the first floor structure and the roof beams begin to for the roof structure.

Day 6- A combination of modern structural components and traditional roofing techniques are employed to maximise room space.

Exposed Glu Lam Beams are utilised to form vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom.

All timber frame products are erected by Sms Timber Frame to ensure the highest level of quality.

Day 10- All our products are erected by our erection team rather than sub-contractors. This gives us greate quality control relating to both customer care and workmanship at site level.

Using a combination of tradition and modern building techniques, we created a very traditional building which infact performs as well as an eco home from an insulation point of view.
