                         Press Web Joists... 

 Sms Timber Frame now design press web joists into all of our projects as standard. The joists are manufactured in house to ensure they are of absolute quality. We can use press web joists in both floor structures and roof structures, the benefits being the ease of access for services, the speed of fitting the press web joists in comparison to solid joists and the elimination of cold bridging, making your project perform better from an insulation point of view. These joists are usually manufactured to the maximum allowed deflection, however here at sms timber frame we design and manufacture the press web joists to less than half of the allowed deflection, to ensure you floor is solid and squeak free ( " We don't like squeaky floors " ).
