The stable block / garage extension was erected in the same manor as a timber frame house or house extension. A slab was laid and the soleplate was fitted ready to accept the timber frame structure.

The stable block had to be building control compliant partly due to the stone slate roof finish which was a planning requirement. A full set of calculations were provided which is unusual for a stable block.

Sms Timber Frame took on the full design including the structure and the feature work. The erection took around four days.

The timber frame quickly takes shape. The Interior was lined with 18mm marine ply to enhance the internal durability.

The stable blocks were just as the client imagined them, the flexibility of the timber frame allows any customer to complete their project exactly how they want it.

The external cladding and specialist joining were supplied and fitted as part of the timber frame package.

The accuracy of the timber frame meant that the client could get a superb final product. He commented that we would never use any other for of construction.
