The timber sole plates are fitted by sms timber frame ready to accept the timber frame panels.

Day 1- Concrete slab is completed by others prior to the arrival of Sms Timber Frame. Our 38mm soleplates are fixed to the slab using 100mm thunderbolts at 600 cts.

The timber frame panels, floor structure are all in place by the end of day 1.

Day 1/2- Ground floor panels, floor structure and second floor structure erected ready to accept the roof structure.

At the beginning of day two the roof structure begins to take shape. Having removed a small section of the existing roof, we were able to fit a ridge beam and begin construction of the roof before breaking into the existing roof. This kept the inside of the house dry.

Day 3- The roof structure is fixed in place without disrupting the roof over the existing house. The roof is constructed from a single ridge beam along with loose rafters and took just 2 hours to erect.

The roof structure is completed and is tied in with the existing roof, the roofers are booked in dead on schedule to make the existing property water tight before night fall, the remainder of the roof structure has ply sarkin applied by sms timber frame.

Day 3- Due to the nature of the roof, it is then sarked using 12mm WBP ( Weather Blister Proof) ply board to enhance the structural capabilities.

Day 4- Tiles from the existing roof are removed to allow for new roof structure hip to be cut into place. The roofers can now begin and are scheduled to arrive on day 4 of the project to ensure the existing building can be kept in the dry.

Completed Project Ready For Render...

After the project is water tight, all other services both internally and externally ensuring the project is completed on schedule.

Just a couple of weeks later, the external shell is complete and internal trades, plastering, plumbing and electrics second fix are well under way with completion due prior to Christmas.
