Armitages Garden Centre Temporary Cafe...

This is the workspace Sms Timber Frame were give for this extension to the garden center.

Our Brief was to design, supply and erect the timber frame for a temporary cafe. This project was erected within only 1 week lead in time to design and manufacture. The whole project took only two weeks.

With the timber frame structure being classed as temporary, the foundations were made from timber and build up on site by the sms timber frame team.

Site levelling for the pre-manufactured, pre-insulated floor decks.

The timber frame panels are erected and plumbed in a matter of hours ready for the roof structure to be erected.

Floor structure in place, external wall panels erected.

The roof structure begins to take shape using 140mm cls timber.

Roof structure and ply to outside of roof to carry built up felt roof finish.

Battens are applied to the timber frame and the cedar cladding is applied to the structure.

Facia soffits and external cladding in Western Red Cedar. internal works continued at the same time as external finishing works.

The Completed Project...

This timber frame project took just 10 days from order to completion, allowing the cafe to carry on functioning as usual.

Open for business in less than 2 weeks of the initial structural erect.
